Dear Senator Kerry, you are hurting Senator Obama

Dear Senator Kerry,

First of all let me begin by saying that you would have been a great President; and  I am still sad that you did not win in 2004. Well, we have what we have. Here is a friendly piece of advice: if you really want your candidate to win the Dem nomination and the Presidency, you should go back and revisit the cause of your defeat against an unpopular President, an unpopular war and a weak economy.

Basically, it seems at least to me that while your policies and records are very carefully thought-out, your choice of words leaves lot to be desired. You already committed a blunder last week by calling publicly for Sen Clinton to back out of primaries. A sure way to antagonize her voters. Now, today publicly you seem to rule out the option of mail-in primaries in Fl while at the same time saying that Sen. Obama will follow whatever the states decide. A famous remark of yours kept coming back to my mind.

I know that you may just dismiss this suggestion from a Clinton supporter, but thought I will just sound you off anyway.

Thanks

I hope Kerry is even more public for Obama (2.00 / 2)

Surely it will help Hilary.

He didn't rule out a mail in primary, and, in fact, he can't speak for the Obama campaign. He did say he didn't think it the best idea, for the reason he stated.

Kerry was made an offer by Obama as have other endorsers. I suggest they unpack their bags.

Re: Dear Senator Kerry, (none / 0)

Maybe he'll be too busy later to help Obama - he has an opponent this year, and not the usual republican one, either.  His opponent is a progressive Democrat, and looks pretty interesting.   He and Kennedy have pretty much run unopposed for years, it will be nice to have an attractive alternative for a change in MA.

Re: Kerry (none / 0)

Overall, the HRC-state Obama supporters and BHO-state Clinton supporters are pretty close to a 50-50 split.  Last I checked, there were actually a few more of the latter type.  So, yes, I'm sure Kerry would be up for a deal where he, Patrick, and Kennedy vote for Hillary, provided Murray, Napalitano and a few others go the other way.  But don't kid yourself into think Kerry would be so stupid as to do it without making sure everyone was in on the deal first.

(And, given the Clinton campaign's history with deals -- as in "Sure John, I'll meet you and Barack in Lansing and we''ll take all three of our names off the ballot together" -- perhaps Kerry has good reason not to trust Clinton supporters in any context now.)

So your measure of success (none / 0)

is appealing to non-democrats?  Well, that would be Obama and not Hillary.  Si?
